Welcome to Educators for Christian Homeschoolers of Oklahoma. ECHO is an educational support organization created to come alongside traditional homeschool families as they strive to raise their children “....in the training and instruction of the Lord."  (Ephesians 6:4).
As a collection of Christian homeschooling parents, ECHO participants share a biblical worldview*, perspective, and ECHO expectation that
  • The Bible, in its entirety, is the inerrant and inspired Word of God.
  • God exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All persons are equal in power and glory.
  • Christ is the Eternal Son of God. He is fully God and fully man.
  • Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the Cross as a substitute for all who would repent and believe in Him, rose bodily from the grave, and now reigns with the Father.
  • He will return visibly and personally to earth in salvation and judgment.
  • All humans are sinful by nature and can only be forgiven by repentance and faith in Jesus as Savior brought about by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.
At ECHO, each adult and student is expected to conduct themselves with biblical integrity , including in areas of marriage, family, human sexuality and gender identity. One's lifestyle will reflect God’s design for personal and family relationships, a teachable spirit, a willingness to live contentedly under authority, and a commitment to follow the Matthew 18:15-20 principle should an issue arise with another ECHO adult or student.
Self-governing is an important quality necessary to participate at ECHO. Please consider your student’s ability to govern personal behavior, class participation, accountability for completed class work and good attitude.
ECHO is not a school, and as such is not accredited by any state or educational agency.  It is designed to be an extension and support for what homeschooling families are already doing in the home.  Each ECHO instructor is either a veteran homeschool parent, a real-world professional, or a retired or certified educator.  Each one has a passion for their subject and a desire to serve the LORD by preparing students for life beyond the classroom.

*Biblical worldview: A Biblical worldvie is an overarching view of the world based on God's revealed truth-the-Bible-which directs our life in the world.  A Biblical Worldview shapes our beliefs about God, Creation, Humanity, Moral Order, and Purpose.
