Required Materials: 4x6 index cards, notebook paper, pen and pencil, a small portable timer other than phones or watches.
Students will demonstrate an understanding and application of the techniques used in public speaking including listening skills, speech preparation, non verbal communication and research methods. Activities include extemporaneous speaking as well as preparing speeches to inform, entertain, and persuade.
