PREREQUISITES: Spanish 1. If you are new student to ECHO you must pass a Spanish 1 test administered by me. The test will need to be scheduled and taken before you can enroll in Spanish 2.
Fee: $35 per month tuition, plus $40 onetime materials fee. Payment can be sent through PayPal ([email protected]), CashApp ($NerlyOvrebo) or Venmo (@Nerly-Ovrebo)
Textbook: To reduce the costs of purchasing the practice book for Spanish 2 that I have used, I suggest that we will continue using part of the Spanish 1 book (!Avencemos! “Cuaderno practica por niveles” Holt McDougal; ISBN 13-978-0-618-76593-5 or
ISBN13: 13-978-0-618-78218-5). However, not everything will be covered there, so I will provide copies of materials necessary to complete the lessons.
Course Description: Spanish 2 builds upon knowledge gained in Spanish 1. This course will also reinforce the skills learned in Spanish 1: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Emphasis is on perfecting pronunciation, mastery of the basic grammatical structures, and increased communicative proficiency. Acquisition of functional vocabulary is expected. Students will be exposed to the past tenses, conditional and reflexives mood. Students will be expected to apply them in class on their writing and speaking.
Instructor generated handouts. Parents are required to verify student has completed homework on time.
Homework: Homework will be assigned in each class section as well as from course handouts.
