We currently live in a world of unknowns. There are tragic situations and weather disasters that often throw us for a loop. Kids being able to recognize a situation and have the foreknowledge of how to respond may give them more confidence in emergency situations. This course would go through a breakdown of what is and is not an emergency. What systems are in place for different kinds of emergencies. How to respond safely to accidents, fires, injuries, tornadoes, floods, electrocutions, active shooters, and situational awareness. This taught here will be taught in a way to give confidence and not instill fear or anxiety. Students will be reminded of the Lord's peace as they walk through each lesson. When we understand a situation, we often respond to and process it more easily.
