Course Description: Students will learn and discuss (and chew on and poke at) the major people, ideas, and events surrounding the founding of the U.S.A. We will jump into the timeline just before the early European settlers and walk through the period just before the Civil War. Using lots of primary sources, we will especially linger on the role of Christianity and its influence or absence in each situation. I hope for students to walk away with plenty of historical figures to look up to, some to remember as cautionary tales, and a hope and direction for their future.
May they become a joyful, confident generation faithful disciples of the Lord Jesus, just like many culture-building Americans before them!
