(teacher’s phone) Mrs.Walker (405) 210-9650
Estimated homework hours per DAY: 30 minutes
Class Size Limit Course Description: No text. I highly recommend students get a free account on Ravelry.com. Depending on patterns chosen throughout the year, students may need to purchase patterns. These usually cost around $5 each. Students will also be required to provide their own yarn and needles throughout the year. Smaller accessories will be provided by the teacher.
Beginner level yarn and needles can be purchased inexpensively at HobbyLobby, Wal-Mart and Michaels. Recommendations for purchases will be in the syllabus.
Crocheting is not just for little old ladies! Guys and gals are welcome in this class! We were created in the image of God, and as such, we all have in us a desire to be creative. Crocheting is an excellent way to create functional items, beat boredom, and relieve stress.
Each student will work at their own pace, but I will expect students to practice at home, and to see clear growth and improvement throughout the year. In class, I will help teach new techniques, provide constructive feedback, and just provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere where students can find joy in learning this craft.
