US History - The American Story

This course is based on Hillsdale College’s 1776 Curriculum. We will explore the history of America as a land of hope founded on high principles and from a biblical worldview. The textbook presents our nation’s history as “one long story”, with a simple principal objective: an accurate, responsible, coherent, persuasive, and inspiring narrative account of our country. It covers our settlement, revolution & independence, division, reconstruction, progress, times of war, transformation, turbulence, and relative peace. Requirements will include weekly reading, questions, an occasional writing assignment, and quizzes/tests covering each chapter (open book, completed at home).
