Materials

1 portable sewing machine in good working condition

1-2 manufacturer recommended bobbins. Most machines come with some. We will have a few extras on hand but can’t guarantee we have some to fit all machines.

Basic notions (scissors, pins, snips, iron, etc.) will be provided during in class projects.

Fabric and thread for projects will be provided.

About the Course

This is a continuation of our beginning sewing course for 3rd - 6th grade students. We will expand and refine the basic sewing skills previously learned. This will include working with different fabrics and stitches, piecing and cutting patterns, etc. Projects in this course may take additional time and won’t necessarily be completed on a weekly basis.


Students will need to have completed our beginning sewing course or have comparable experience as determined by instructor.
