  About the Course
  This is almost the identical class to the original 1000 Years, but with a stronger homework component, so these students will actually be getting more than an introduction as they work through the homework. Also, I expect to have class discussions on a higher level. This survey of world history will cover 1000 years, from 1000 AD to 2000 AD. We will build timelines as we look at the major points of history starting with Vikings, Kublai Khan and castles right on through the World Wars and computers. We will be covering 1000 years in about 30 lessons, so we will be moving fast! There will be a PowerPoint each week filled with pictures and notebook pages about each subject. Homework will be about two hours most weeks. High school students in this class may have slightly more challenging homework, at the parents’ discretion.
